Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews to share what we've added to our shelves for the week.
Well, this week wasn't as productive as last week, but I did manage post my weekly memes (no #DustOffYourBookshelf this week, no time) and I have a giveaway going on. Check below for the link and try to win a signed copy of None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio. Otherwise, I worked, it was hot and I bought a lot of books. I knew I was going to buy a lot this week, I was totally prepared since there were SO many highly anticipated releases on the 5th. Sadly, I haven't gotten around to reading any of them yet. I'll be starting The Heir by Kiera Cass this weekend, though. Next week there should only be one or two physical books to haul. I'm going to slow it down until the end of the month because I'll be mega-hauling at BEA. I didn't get many eARCs for review this week, which is fine with me. I think my hands are full at the moment.
So, here's this week's haul...
Bought
The Heir (The Selection #4) by Kiera Cass
Fangirl (Collector's Edition) by Rainbow Rowell
Undertow by Michael Buckley
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Tracked by Jenny Martin
The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West
Cold Burn of Magic by Jennifer Estep
Now and Forever by Susane Colasanti (new in paperback)
The Clouded Sky (Earth & Sky #2) by Megan Crewe
Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour (new in paperback)
Invincible by Amy Reed
Blackbird Fly by Erin Entrada Kelly
Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson (new in paperback)
Material Girls by Elaine Dimopoulos
The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord
Last Saturday was Independent Bookstore Day, and my local Indie, the Chester County Book Company, was having a celebration. They had refreshments, cool items for sale and a "blind date" with a book where they wrapped books in white paper and wrote a personal add describing it on the paper. Here was mine:
They also featured recommendations from local bloggers, which was very cool. I chose a recommendation of Christina's from Confessions of a Book Addict (The Start of Me and You). Check out the awesome display they had in the store. Oh, I also bought those cool kitty cat socks.
For Kindle
Rival (Feuds #0.5) by Avery Hastings
eARCs from Edelweiss and NetGalley
You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day - Edelweiss
(I love her!)
The Darkness Within (The Monster Within #2) by Kelly Hashway - NetGalley
Omni (Omni #1) by Andrea Murray - NetGalley

You got so many amazing books!! I can't wait to get my hands on A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Heir and The Wrath and The Dawn.
ReplyDeleteSince You've Been Gone is an amazing book and that is coming from someone who doean't really like Contemporary but it was so good that I put Morgan Matson on my autobuy list and I'm now searching for her older books to get them :P I hope you enjoy it!!
I love what your local bookstore did!! It was so amazing ... I wish they did something like that over here :( and I love the kitty socks :P You don't know how jealous I am right now :P
Great post!!!
I need to stop buying books NOW! All the hard work of september-february in reducing the tbr has been ruined from the mega splurges of march to may! I'm a great big booky failure! But I LOVE all my shiny new books! *mwooaahhh*
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing my display at Chester County Books. I'm so glad you were able to stop by and I can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Start of Me and You. I also am dying to read Court of Thorns and Roses...must get my hands on a copy soon. Have a great weekend and thanks again or the shoutout!
ReplyDeleteThey did a really good job at CCBC. Hopefully I get to read The Start of Me and You soon! I can't wait to start reading A Court of Thorns and Roses either. I need SO much more time!
DeleteWHOA! Talk about awesome!! That's an awesome haul! I so want to go to BEA one of these days and I am hoping it works out next year. Because it's in Chicago and that's in driving distance! Like over 4 hours, probably 5 for the actual city of Chicago, but that's still totally doable! More reason to anticipate 2016! LOL! Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteMy STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)

WOW! Great week!! I am getting the first copy of The Heir from the library but not until this Tuesday! The Sarah J. Maas book looks good, I'm like #12 on the wait list at the library for that one. I haven't read Cold Burn of Magic yet, but I have it! Enjoy all your books and Happy Saturday!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic haul :-) I'm not sure if I want to read The Heir yet, I probably will end up reading it though! Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read The Wrath and the Dawn - it sounds really good! I'll probably have to wait until it's a little cheaper though. Books are so expensive these days!
ReplyDeleteGreat haul this week! Undertow sounds so good. Material Girls is one of my all time favorite reads. I'm so jealous that you have an arc with the original cover of the book! I wish they had stuck with that cover, because I'm going to end up with the new one. :/ Happy reading!
