Stacking the Shelves & Week in Review 5/9/15

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews to share what we've added to our shelves for the week.

Well, this week wasn't as productive as last week, but I did manage post my weekly memes (no #DustOffYourBookshelf this week, no time) and I have a giveaway going on. Check below for the link and try to win a signed copy of None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio. Otherwise, I worked, it was hot and I bought a lot of books. I knew I was going to buy a lot this week, I was totally prepared since there were SO many highly anticipated releases on the 5th. Sadly, I haven't gotten around to reading any of them yet. I'll be starting The Heir by Kiera Cass this weekend, though. Next week there should only be one or two physical books to haul. I'm going to slow it down until the end of the month because I'll be mega-hauling at BEA. I didn't get many eARCs for review this week, which is fine with me. I think my hands are full at the moment.

So, here's this week's haul...

Bought

The Heir (The Selection #4) by Kiera Cass
Fangirl (Collector's Edition) by Rainbow Rowell
Undertow by Michael Buckley
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Tracked by Jenny Martin
The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West
Cold Burn of Magic by Jennifer Estep
Now and Forever by Susane Colasanti (new in paperback)
The Clouded Sky (Earth & Sky #2) by Megan Crewe
Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour (new in paperback)

Invincible by Amy Reed
Blackbird Fly by Erin Entrada Kelly
Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson (new in paperback)
Material Girls by Elaine Dimopoulos

Last Saturday was Independent Bookstore Day, and my local Indie, the Chester County Book Company, was having a celebration. They had refreshments, cool items for sale and a "blind date" with a book where they wrapped books in white paper and wrote a personal add describing it on the paper. Here was mine:

They also featured recommendations from local bloggers, which was very cool. I chose a recommendation of Christina's from Confessions of a Book Addict (The Start of Me and You). Check out the awesome display they had in the store. Oh, I also bought those cool kitty cat socks.

For Kindle

Rival (Feuds #0.5) by Avery Hastings

eARCs from Edelweiss and NetGalley

You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost) by Felicia Day - Edelweiss
(I love her!)

The Darkness Within (The Monster Within #2) by Kelly Hashway - NetGalley

Omni (Omni #1) by Andrea Murray - NetGalley

  4. WHOA! Talk about awesome!! That's an awesome haul! I so want to go to BEA one of these days and I am hoping it works out next year. Because it's in Chicago and that's in driving distance! Like over 4 hours, probably 5 for the actual city of Chicago, but that's still totally doable! More reason to anticipate 2016! LOL! Happy Reading!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

  10. Great haul this week! Undertow sounds so good. Material Girls is one of my all time favorite reads. I'm so jealous that you have an arc with the original cover of the book! I wish they had stuck with that cover, because I'm going to end up with the new one. :/ Happy reading!
