Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews to share what we've added to our shelves for the week.
WOO HOO! I finally had a week with a small haul! Normally, this would make me sad, but lately I've just been adding too many books to my shelves (both physical and virtual). I needed a chance to catch up a bit. I'm very happy with what I did get, so this week is a WIN. It wasn't as productive a week as I'd have liked, but in the beginning of the week my son was sick (tummy bug), so I got a little behind.
This weekend and the beginning of this week are for catching up on my reviews and reading, and at the end of the week, my little guy is turning 4!! It seems like just yesterday he was born.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SETH!!!
Anyway, on to my book haul...

Your son is a real cutie. My son's 14 but I still remember when he was 4.
ReplyDeleteNice haul. Most of these titles are new to me. Hope you enjoy reading them.
WOW. Time sure does fly. Looks like you got some very interesting books this week. I hope you love all of them.
ReplyDeleteGrace @ Books of Love
I like the covers for the Bethany Griffin books. I avoid steampunk as a genre but the covers for a lot of these books are pretty! I tried the Moira Young series but it wasn't really my kind of thing. I hope you enjoy your haul!
ReplyDeleteAwesome books this week! I'm sorry to hear your little guy was sick...it's so hard when they don't feel well, but Happy Almost Birthday to him! I am looking forward to your thoughts on Velvet. Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteAww! He's so cute! Hope he has a GREAT Birthday! ;)
ReplyDeleteNice reads! I am so excited for Velvet! I've entered like 5 contests so I am hoping one will let me win! LOL! And ooh Madness Underneath! I still need to read that! I've waited this long until the third book comes out because I heard it had a dreadful cliffhanger! LOL! Happy Reading!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Awesome "small" haul this week. I hate when the kids are sick we have a bug going around here and had it last week. I loved Velvet and I really hope you do to. It may not have been productive but it looks like you had a great week. I hope next week is more productive for you. Happy reading!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww your little guy's so cute! Happy Birthday to him!! I can't wait to hear what you think of Velvet :D
ReplyDeleteOooo! Happy birthday to Seth! I liked Velvet a lot :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! Have a lovely weekend :)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Happy Birthday Seth! What a darling boy. And seriously, amazing haul of books you've got this week. Dang. I need to review Challenger Deep too. ~Beth@Perpetual New Girl
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday little man!
ReplyDeleteI've had Velveteen in like forever and still haven't read it! Eep!
New follower, happy weekend!
Aw, happy birthday to your little boy!!! Such sweetness!
ReplyDeleteAnd Velvet sounds good - it's been so long since I've read a good paranormal book!
Enjoy your family and new books :)
Happy Birthday to Seth! :-) I hope you enjoy your new books Michelle! :-) Thanks as always for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying for "small hauls" too. I know the feeling. I love the Dust Lands series -- one of my favorites. I've been seeing a lot of Velvet today. Enjoy your books! Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteGreat haul this week. The Blood Red Road series is one of my favorites, so I hope you like it too! I can't wait for NEED. It sounds so interesting. Happy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteKrystianna @ Downright Dystopian
Great list!! I have Unraveled but I haven't read it yet. So far I've just read Crewel but it was one of the most amazing books for a dystopian. I really need to get on the ball and finish the series!
ReplyDeleteShannon @ The Tale Temptress
Ooohhh, I love your haul especially the books from Book Outlet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
I've never ordered from Book Outlet. As you can tell by my STS posts, I really have no need to buy them right now. However, I have to ask, how long does it take from order to receiving them?
ReplyDeleteI ordered them on Sunday and they arrived on Friday. Sometimes when there's a big sale it takes a few extra days, which is why I didn't expect them until next week. The prices are insanely cheap, too. It's a dangerous place for a book addict, but at least you don't end up spending too much money.
DeleteI can't wait to read Uprooted. I agree, I don't think the Mother's Day haul should count against you. Hope you enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteAh, 4 years old! What a cutie! Great haul this week. Although I have an ARC of Velveteen that I would probably have traded you or sent you for free even if you'd let me know you were wanting to read it. :-) I have to NOT click on the Book Outlet emails or I could spend a ton! Thanks for visiting my Sunday Post earlier.
ReplyDeleteYou got some good ones this week! I just broke down and bought Velvet yesterday :)
ReplyDeleteAww Happy Birthday, Seth! He is so adorable! My daughter will be 4 in July, they are super close in age! (And I know what you mean about the time- HOW does it go by so quickly? I remember the moments of the baby pictures, as I am sure you do when you look at Seth's. Too fast, it goes way too fast.)
ReplyDeleteBookOutlet, the bane of my existence ;) I just got my order today- 3 books for me, 3 Berenstain Bear books for Lena- and now I see the Dustlands series and I want those too! I cannot let myself though. CANNOT. I am VERY curious about Need- I am a little wary of the new series, so I will have to pay close attention for your review! Hope you enjoy the new books, and have a fabulous week!
Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight
Happy birthday to the little guy!! Awww he's so cute :)
ReplyDeleteYAY, I hope you enjoy Velvet, I really enjoyed it. I've heard wonderful things about Uprooted too.
