Stacking the Shelves 9/13/15

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews to share what we've added to our shelves for the week.

I know I haven't been around much in the last week or two. I promise I'll have an explanation soon. I've had a lot going on. I also promise to get back on track with the blog soon, too. I know this Stacking the Shelves is a day late, and I'm sorry about that, too.

One big thing that happened this week was that my little guy started preschool. I'm so proud of my little buddy!

Here's this week's haul:

Bought:

The Body Institute by Carol Riggs
Until Beth by Lisa Amowitz

Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass #4) by Sarah J. Maas

I got to meet Sarah J. Maas and she was awesome!

For Kindle:

The White Rabbit Chronicles #1-#3 by Gena Showalter

I own the first two in paperback, but for $2.99, I couldn't pass up book three and kindle copies so I could read them on the go.

For Review From Edelweiss
(covers=Goodreads)

That's it.

What did you add to your shelves for the week?

  1. Your little boy is so cute. Starting preschool is awesome. My two are both in High School now.

Great haul of books. Love that you got to meet SM and get a signed copy of QoS.

  2. I've always been left a bit cold by these retelling books plus I didn't like Alice in Wonderland either! But for some reason I find the idea of Alice and zombies intriguing. Not enough to buy, however! Maybe if I see it on sale or in a charity shop, maybe! Enjoy your books!

  3. So many great books this week! I saw the Sarah Rees Brennan book, but couldn't decide if I would like it or not. I have all of the Alice in Zombieland books on audio. They are okay, but not great, so far. Signed books are always awesome! As an author, I have been lucky enough to sign next to some of my favorite authors, and of course, I still got my fan girl on and received autographed books as well. (C.C. Hunter, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Rachel Vincent, Jamie McGuire, Abbi Glines, Colleen Hoover, Shelly Crane, and Addison Moore are just a few of my favorite signed books!)

  4. Yay for author meetings!! Glad you got to meet Sarah! I got to meet her back in May for ACOTAR! Which I loved! I couldn't get into the ToG series sadly, but I like to think that it's just one less series to add to my mountainous TBR pile! Plus, I still love her second series, so it's all a win-win!

Other than The White Rabbit Chronicles, these are all new to me reads! But I loooooved TWRC! Such a fun series and can't wait for the next book!

Hope you enjoy all the reads and that your little man had a great first week of preschool!

  10. Awwww preschool! How did you handle it? I am pretty sure I'd be sobbing in a corner, while simultaneously being happy? I don't even know hahha. He is just adorable though! Hope he did well!

And GAH so jealous of you meeting Sarah J Maas! (Totally freaks me out to refer to her by her initials because... they are MY initials hah. And sad but true, I had them first!) That looks like so much fun! I am also crossing my fingers HARD for Tell the Wind and Fire and The Art of Not Breathing, they both sound SO good! Hope you enjoy all the new books!
