Stacking the Shelves & Week in Review 4/4/15

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews to share what we added to our shelves for the week.

YAY! We finally had two warm days here in PA! Thursday it was 65 and sunny and Friday it was 65 and rainy. It looks like next week will be in the 50s and 60s. I'll take it. We went on a trip to a local orchard for their Easter Bunny hayride on Thursday, which was so much fun. I haven't seen outdoors for more than five minutes since October! That's what I was doing instead of writing and posting one of my reviews, please forgive me...I needed some sunlight.

Here's the haul...

I would have posted at least one more review, but the weather was so nice and I did this instead:

Also - I'm still waiting to hear from one winner in my Phoenix Island giveaway. I sent two emails and haven't heard anything. If I don't hear from her by midnight tonight (Saturday), I will choose a new winner. I'm looking for Lizzie M.

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. Breaking Sky sounds very much like Top Gun, a film I enjoyed. Mav annoyed me at times with his reckless streak so I'm a bit undecided if I could put up with a similar female character in a book. Still, it does sound interesting.Enjoy your books!

  2. Niiiiice! Netgalley hasn't done anything with my request for Rogue! It sucks because wayyyyy back when before Harlequin Teen was fully formed I had auto approve for Harlequin YA titles because they were just under Harlequin and I have auto approve with them. Then sadly they created the TEEN division which was a whole new section. I miss getting my YA titles early! LOL!

Hoping it doesn't take too long to get a yes! Though my Netgalley ratio went wayyyy down since I haven't been reading my galleys fast enough apparently!

Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

    1. I have auto approval from Harlquin Teen, that's the only reason I got it so fast. I hope you hear from them soon! My NetGalley ratio is embarrassingly abysmal at the moment. I need to work on that. I'll stop by tomorrow!!

    1. I've thought about opening my own VIP library, lol.

My Myshka moves really fast and she looks like a shadow, so this really is a rare photo. She's like Bigfoot, but smaller.

  8. I'm pretty excited to read The Fire Sermon mostly because I'm a huge sci-fi nerd and am excited by the fact that Spielberg's company optioned it. Enjoy!

  10. Great haul! I think I want to read everything you got but looking forward to hearing what you think of The Devil & Winnie Flynn and The Girl With The Wrong Name.

Looks like you had a great time at the Easter Bunny Hayride, I'm supposed to be doing an Easter Egg hunt tomorrow with the five year olds but as I have severe vertigo it could be more fun for them than me!

  20. I haven't even read Talon yet...I feel so far behind. You have a great haul this week but your cat doesn't seem so thrilled. Is Tear You Apart a series? If so, I think I read the first one but wasn't so thrilled about it. Hope you enjoy your books!
