Top Ten Tuesday: Ten New-To-ME Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's Top Ten topic is "Ten new-To-ME Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015". There are some VERY big authors on my list here, but that's I just FINALLY got around to reading them. This list is all authors who already have more than one book published. Basically, I was (fashionably) late to the party with these authors.

Sarah J Maas

EEK! I know! I finally read Throne of Glass in the beginning of this year. I'm so glad I did!

Marissa Meyer

Another BIG author/series that I finally got around to reading. I loved Cinder and now I don't have to wait for the rest of the books in the series to come out!

Megan Shepherd

The Cage was fantastic! I can't wait to read the sequel, but until then, I have her other books (The Madman's Daughter series) to catch up on.

Kristen Simmons

HOLY MOLY was I impressed with The Glass Arrow! So much so that I ran out and immediately bought her other series (Article 5). I just need to make time to marathon read them.

Ernest Cline

I got an ARC of Armada at BEA and ended up loving it. Now I need to read Ready Player One!

Emmy Laybourne

Sweet was dark, gory and delicious! I have to go get her other series now (Monument 14).

Amanda Sun

I am SO glad I picked up Ink! I love Japanese mythology and Amanda Sun sure does it well! Not only is this a three book series, but she's got another new series starting next Spring!

Trish Doller

I've had people telling me I had to read her books for a while. This was my first and I'm looking forward to reading her previously published books and I'm eagerly awaiting new ones!

Kerstin Gier

I know! I can't believe I haven't read her books until now. People have been raving about Ruby Red, so I'm definitely going to make time for it now after reading end enjoying Dream A Little Dream this year.

Lindsay Cummings

The Murder Complex blew me away! Not only is this a two book series with a prequel, but she has written some middle grade books that I'd like to read. I'm also looking froward to what she's got in store in the future.

What authors did you discover in 2015?

  7. HOW did I forget to add Emmy Laybourne!? I read her book this year too, for the first time. Ah, well, guess you can't include them all ;) And seriously, I NEED The Hunt. Maybe someone finds that for us? Great ;) I really enjoyed The Glass Arrow too, I kind of wish it wasn't a standalone, really! Fabulous list, we have so many in common!

    1. The Glass Arrow was so good! It was a perfect stand alone, but I really wanted more! It was one of those books you didn't want to end. I would do anything for The Hunt right now. The Cage was one of my favorites this year!
