Stacking the Shelves 10/3/15

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews to share what we've added to our shelves for the week.

OOPS! I bought a lot of books this week! In my defense, I've been super good lately and have barely bought anything in the last month or so. I couldn't stop myself, there were so many books out recently that I really wanted. I had a moment of weakness. I didn't get any books from Edelweiss or NetGalley for review this week, which is a first. I have plenty to choose from, so I think I'll survive.

After my haul, I left the link to my post explaining what's been going on with me and why I haven't been posting as much as usual the past month.

Bought

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld, Margo Lanagan & Deborah Biancotti
The White Rose (The Jewel #2) by Amy Ewing
The Shrunken Head (The Curiosity House #1) by Lauren Oliver & H. C. Chester
Nightfall by Jake Halpern & Peter Kujawinski
I Crawl Through It by A.S. King
This Monstrous Thing by Mackenzi Lee
Dreamland by Robert L. Anderson

  1. Nice haul! I just picked up The White Rose for my daughter. She loved The Jewel and keeps encouraging me to read it. I will... soon.

  2. I know about a lack of restraint. When I'm depressed or fed up or sick, that Amazon buy button is just way too handy! There is nothing like the buzz of the shiny new books coming out of that brown package...! Nice haul!

  3. Amazing haul! My copy of Six of Crows should be coming in today. I pre-ordered it, so hopefully it has the pretty black stained pages. Also -virtual hug-

  17. That is an awesome haul!!! Did I notice that the pages on your Six of Crows weren't black on the edges? The copies I saw were, and I thought that was so cool! Thanks so much for visiting my STS earlier!

  20. I just commented a novella on your other post so I kind of feel like gushing about books is strange, but that's what we came here for, right? And you did get ALL the books ;) That is good though! Book therapy (and retail therapy in general!) is kind of the best.

I cannot WAIT to read The White Rose, and Six of Crows (of which I am going to have to get a pretty finished copy of ASAP, clearly!). OH and I Crawl Through It, This Monstrous Thing.. I need to get reading :) I kind of want a finished copy of Walk on Earth a Stranger too. Is it pretty in person?

I really hope you enjoy these! And it looks like your little guy already understands the positivity of a good book haul. Good job, mama!! :D
