ARC Giveaway: Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Last week I was at BEA (Book Expo America) where I picked up tons of free ARCs (Advance Reader Copies) and met lots of amazing authors. Of course, it's very frowned upon to take more than one copy of anything, but I was there with other people who picked things up and traded or waited in line for books they didn't want so I could give them away here! I ended up with four books for giveaways and I figured I'd start with a BIG one! Scroll down to the bottom of this post to enter the Rafflecopter giveaway, but first, check out the prize!

Today, I will be giving away...

Illuminae (The Illuminae Files #1)
by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
Release date: October 20th, 2015

Description from Goodreads:

This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do.

This afternoon, her planet was invaded.

The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.

But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she'd never speak to again.

Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents—including emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more—Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping, high-octane trilogy about lives interrupted, the price of truth, and the courage of everyday heroes.

This book is SO unique! It's also huge, 600 pages!

This is a gorgeous HARDCOVER ARC, check out a few more pictures of it below. I haven't read it yet, but I wanted to share it right away.

This giveaway is open to US and Cananda.

Also, please make sure the email you enter with is one that you check. If you enter with Facebook, it will give me the email you are registered with on Facebook. I will notify winners via email and give at least three days (and make at least two attempts to reach you) for winners to respond before choosing a new winner. I've had trouble reaching winners in the past, so I want to make sure I can reach whoever is chosen.

If you need to change the email for your entry (or assure that it's a valid one), you can click the little box in the top right corner of the Rafflecopter box (it has 3 lines on it). Log out and log in with email.

Good luck!

    1. I wish we had gotten that one, too. We were stuck in another ridiculously long line while she was signing that. We figured we know Amy, and we decided to stay where we were since we'd probably see her at some point. Good luck, Jen.

    1. Aw, sorry! I have a few more ARC giveaways after this one that will be international. It's just that this book is huge. It weighs a ton and would probably cost a fortune to ship. BEA pretty much IS heaven, though!
