Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books With Characters Who Are My Imaginary Book Boyfriends

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's Top Ten topic is "Top Ten Books that Feature Characters Who ______ ". My initial thought about this was...OH CRAP! I have trouble thinking of topics when I'm left to do it on my own. Case in point, when we were prompted with "Top Ten Books for Readers Who Like ______ ", I chose to fill that blank with... "Blue Covers". I panicked. It turned out ok, SEE. Anyway, I've been worried about this all week and at 11:00 pm on Monday night I still had no idea what my topic would be. Then I suddenly had an epiphany! I've never done a "Book Boyfriend" post! Huzzah!! So, I figured I should let you all know who belongs to me. Some are from recent reads, others are long-time book crushes.

(Oh, and just in case he sees this, a note to my real boyfriend: Sean, you're still #1 in MY book!)

BACK OFF! These guys are MINE!!

Jace Herondale
from The Mortal Instruments series
by Cassandra Clare

Sorry, but I guarantee that I saw Jace first.

Jem Carstairs
from The Infernal Devices (& The Mortal Instruments)
by Cassandra Clare

Roar
from the Under the Never Sky series
by Veronica Rossi

Prince Maxon Schreave
from The Selection series
by Kiera Cass

Tarver Merendsen
from These Broken Stars (Starbound series)
by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

Turk
from the Mystic City series
by Theo Lawrence

Turk doesn't show his complete awesomeness until Toxic Heart (book #2). That's when I fell in love.

Bishop Lattimer
from The Book of Ivy
by Amy Engel

Nikolai Lantsov/Sturmhond
from The Grisha trilogy
by Leigh Bardugo

He only appears in books 2 & 3.

"Black Knife"
from The Orphan Queen
by Jodi Meadows

Po
from Graceling
by Kristin Cashore

I could easily keep going, but I only get ten this time.

Do you have any book boyfriends/girlfriends?

What was your Top Ten Topic?

  1. Nice choice for a list. I'm about to start the mortal instruments series too.
I chose vampires for mine but it took me a while to think of something that I could make a list out of.
    Happy Tuesday!

  3. Sadly, Jace and Jem are the only two hotties from your list that I have met. I might need to change that.

My Top Ten Tuesday was nearly identical to the Broke and the Bookish's list but I made it my own, yeah?

  12. What a great topic. I haven't really read any of these, although I have heard enough about Jace to understand why he made the list. I do own several of these books, just haven't gotten around to reading them. I picked up The Book of Ivy when it was released and it still sits in my Kindle untouched. Thank for "sharing" your boyfriends.

  14. Awesome list! So glad that you included Roar and Bishop! Not nearly enough people have read The Book Of Ivy, and Bishop is literally the best guy ever. Also, Roar is amazing and I LOVE him! (kind of ironic, since my name is Olivia)

  15. Book Boyfriends!!! I could have a list a mile long! I see what you mean when you said you could have Kent from Before I Fall on here. I could definitely see him making my list too. I want to read Under the Never Sky one of these days. I finally read The Hunger Games, so maybe I'll get there soon.

Thanks for stopping by my list!

  16. Nice topic! It's nice to see some of the same books/series but for a totally different reasoning! :) I should probably get on those Cassie Clare books, huh?

Thanks for stopping by my list!

  17. You can have Jem, I always wanted Will but there's no way you can take Maxon AND Tarver. I mean, that's just plainly mean and terribly of you. :DD Awesome list BTW. :)

  18. I LOVE this topic^^ GREAT choice! But man, except for Jace (agree btw) I have yet to meet any of these awesome boys! I still need to read TMI, UtNS, These Broken Stars, The Grisha Series, Orphan Queen and Graceling. *sobs* BUT I do own the first book in all of these series so I have no excuse. I WILL read them though and seeing how there are boys to swoon over, I'll have to get to them soon XD

Thanks for stopping by earlier ♥
