#DustOffYourBookshelf (#2)

Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! and Mandy @ The Reading Diaries have teamed up to encourage themselves and others to use Instagram more.

So they came up with #Dustoffyourbookshelf where you display a book that you have had on your shelf for a long time and probably forgotten about. If you have time to grab it off the shelf and read it that is great, but you don’t have to read what you display. You can be creative in your displaying or you can just take a picture of it on your shelf. They are mainly doing this to get into Instagram but thought it would be fun to do a post on Thursdays since there's normally not a lot to post for Thursdays. It’s not technically a meme yet unless they get some followers, so join in the fun!

I'm actually on Instagram quite a bit, so I figured this sounded like fun.

Here's what I found this week:

Die For Me (Revenants #1) by Amy Plum
Published May 10th, 2011
Goodreads link: (click here)

In the City of Lights, two star-crossed lovers battle a fate that is destined to tear them apart again and again for eternity.

When Kate Mercier's parents die in a tragic car accident, she leaves her life--and memories--behind to live with her grandparents in Paris. For Kate, the only way to survive her pain is escaping into the world of books and Parisian art. Until she meets Vincent.

Mysterious, charming, and devastatingly handsome, Vincent threatens to melt the ice around Kate's guarded heart with just his smile. As she begins to fall in love with Vincent, Kate discovers that he's a revenant--an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save the lives of others. Vincent and those like him are bound in a centuries-old war against a group of evil revenants who exist only to murder and betray. Kate soon realizes that if she follows her heart, she may never be safe again.

How long have I has this on my shelves? Well, it's a hardcover and it's got a Borders sticker on it! I own all three books in this series and I swear I'll read them eventually!

Have you read it?

Hopefully I'll get around to reading it soon!

  1. This is SUCH a fun idea! I love this, especially because I always run out of Instagram ideas! I will have to join in! As for the book, I enjoyed the Revenants series! Plus, it is set in Paris, so that alone is pretty great ;) Hope you enjoy it... you know, someday ;)

  2. I read this a few years back despite having reservations about it-YA love story AND set in France. For some reason I don't like books set in France-no idea why as I've always wanted to visit Paris and I have French friends! However I did read it and it was actually a decent read.

  3. Great choice! Thanks for joining. I can honestly say that I still have this one sitting on my shelf....It's been there way to long and it's my kind of book. Maybe I'll throw this one up next week just for fun. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see what you find on your shelves next. I know at my house it's like Christmas I forgot what I've got. The best is when I find duplicates. Have a great week.
