Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books Recently Added To My To-Be-Read (TBR) List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This weeks Top Ten Topic is "Ten Books Recently Added To My TBR List". I'm going to list mostly books that I've just bought or added and hope or plan to read soon. Most have been out for a some time but I either didn't get around to buying/reading them or didn't realize I wanted to read them. Some I came across on other blogs.

Here are ten recent "new" additions to my TBR pile:

The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire & Thorns #1)
by Rae Carson

I can't believe I haven't read this series yet. It's about time I do.

Prophecy (The Dragon King Chronicles #1)
by Ellen Oh

The third book in this series is out soon and I figured I'd check it out.

Gilded (Gilded #1) by Christina Farley

This sounds amazing! I don't know why I haven't read it yet!

Midnight Thief (Midnight Thief #1)
by Livia Blackburne

I've heard a lot of good things about this and I just got an ARC of the second book.

Stolen Songbird (The Malediction Trilogy #1)
by Danielle L. Jensen

So many other bloggers rave about this and are excited about the sequel. I felt like I was missing out on something so I finally got it.

Scan (Scan #1) by Sarah Fine and Walter Jury

Ok, I love Sarah Fine and I love sci-fi.

Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis

A Sci-fi Snow White retelling...how did I miss this one?

She Is Not Invisible by Marcus Sedgwick

I've wanted to read this for a while and finally bought it (Book Outlet).

Compulsion (The Heirs of Watson Island #1)
by Martina Boone

I finally treated myself to a copy of this recently. I knew I would eventually.

Positive by David Wellington

This is the only forthcoming book on my list (out 4/21/15), but I NEED it and it's going right in my TBR pile. I discovered it on Beauty in Ruins last Wednesday (WoW post) and it sounds awesome. It's described as "Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome meets World War Z and I Am Legend". HOLY CRAP! YES, PLEASE!

What's on your TBR list?

  7. awesome list! I've been told to read The Girl of Fire and Thorns! It didn't win the poll of my reader's choice so I put it back on the bottom of my pile. Compulsion is great! I reviewed that at the end of January ( http://stephwonderland.blogspot.com/2015/01/compulsion-review.html ). I loved it! And I cannot wait until October when the second one comes out! :) Midnight Thief has an amazing and cover and sounds really good.

  27. Stitching Snow was just so much fun and adorable! I tried to get into Girl of Fire and Thorns but had to put it down. I don't even remember why; I think it was my mood. But I want to try reading it again, because everyone seems to love it AND it's fantasy, which is my favorite genre. And gah, STOLEN SONGBIRD!! I still have yet to read that book, but I've heard it's awesome. I'm planning on binging it and the sequel very, very soon.

    Awesome list!! :)
