Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Books On My Spring Reading List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's Top Ten Topic is "Ten Books on my Spring TBR List". Well, I didn't do such a great job with my WINTER READING LIST. I read 5 of the 10 I put on it. I did read well over 30 books this winter, but I didn't get around to all of the ones I picked out before Winter. I'd still like to try to fit them in, especially Stranger by Rachel Manija Brown and Sherwood Smith. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to that one.

As for Spring...I still find it hard to think of it being (almost) here. It's still SO COLD! I don't think I'll be seeing any Spring-like weather for a while here in PA. The official date for the beginning of Spring is March 20th, so I'll say that it lasts until June 1st. Theoretically, I can easily read all 10 of these books by then (and 20 more), assuming that I don't get completely distracted by other books!

It's going to be tough to narrow down the books, so I'll just list my highest priority books. I originally had books that are already released on this list, but it  got increasingly more difficult to narrow it down, so I decided to make it a tbr list of UPCOMING books...and then I added a bunch more at the end. But the Top Ten are my most anticipated and highest priority. Until I get distracted...

Here goes, my Spring TBR...

The Wicked Will Rise by Danielle Paige (3/31/15)

But first I should probably read the collection of short stories that goes with it.

Miss Mayhem (Rebel Belle #2) by Rachel Hawkins (4/7/15)

I LOVED Rebel Belle!

Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman (4/2/15)

I've already heard fantastic things about this book and I love Neal Shusterman.

Rook by Sharon Cameron (4/28/15)

I NEED THIS BOOK IN MY LIFE!

The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey

It sounds really fun. It seems a lot like a bunch of other books, but I'm still looking forward to it.

The Heir (The Selection #4) by Kiera Cass (5/5/15)

I can't wait!!

Tracked by Jenny Martin (5/5/15)

This sounds SO COOL!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass (5/5/15)

So EXCITED for this!!!

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen

Hold Me Like a Breath by Tiffany Schmidt (5/19/15)

I've heard so many really good things about his already!

I also hope to read these this Spring
(but I just might be crazy or very ambitious):

  5. UGH. I stupidly only looked at books I already own, and completely forgot to then look at others so I should have put A Court of Thorns and Roses on mine too. Oh well. I also really want to read Rook and The Girl at Midnight too! So many others on this list as well. Fantastic list :D

  6. OOoh awesome picks!! I cannot wait to read The Wicked Will Rise! Still need to read one more novella too, but I did buy the paperback bindup of them all despite owning all the ebooks! LOL! And ooooh ACOTAR!! Dying to read that one! Have been avoiding all the reviews these past several weeks! Too early to read them and make me all excited and then wait another two months. Sigh...

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  7. Fantastic list! Like you, I can't wait for Sarah Dessen's latest and Court of Thorns and Roses. I also want to read Rook...love the sound of that one. I agree about the PA weather. I looked at the long term forecast and it's depressing. Today seems pretty great, but then the rest of the days it is back to being cold. BOO!

    1. It's 60° today, but I saw it's supposed to snow on Friday! The rest of the week is going to be in the 30s & 40s during the day and 20s at night! When will it finally end? I want Spring!

  8. I've got big plans for spring which involve getting a lot of series finished, not just books. These series have been sitting waiting for me for a couple of years and I need to deal with them...I'm not personally familiar with your spring choices but I have heard of a few of them. Good luck!

    1. I was supposed to get my series under control over the winter. I made a little progress, but I still have tons of sequels piled up. I'm pretty sure I'll never be caught up, especially when there's are so many other new books releasing!

  11. That's a great list. Girl of Nightmares looks good and Undertow made it to my list as well. I have an eARC coming of the Sarah Dessen book this week so although it isn't on my list, I plan on getting to it sooner than later.

  15. I'm thinking about reading Wicked Will Rise. I didn't LOVE the first book and the author said some things about that whole blogger-stalking scandal that rubbed me the wrong way :( BUT another part of me wants to find out what happens bc it did get exciting at the end of the first book. Also YAY for a new Sarah Dessen book!!! That makes me so happy.

Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

  16. I want to read Shutter this Spring too! I've been meaning to read it for a long time, but I keep putting it off for some reason. :( I'm super excited for Hold Me Like a Breath and Saint Anything! I can't wait to read them!

  17. Awesome list, Michelle! I can't wait for Challenger Deep because I love Neal Shusterman's writing style. His Unwind books are the bomb! Rook also sounds awesome; same with Zerboxer. I hope you enjoy all of these!

  19. I'm really, really looking forward to Challenger Deep but I'm quite sure it won't be out on local bookstores for me. I'm also looking forward to ACOTAR even though I've never read Sarah J. Maas' other series.
Huge list && a lot of which are books I'm hoping to read as well! :D

I also get distracted by other books a lot which is why whenever I set my tbr list, I always see the same books over and over, hahaha

  20. This spring is SO amazing for books! Yes, you must read Challenger Deep! I have so many thoughts on it, I don't even know where to start. Plus, Neal Shusterman is amazing. I can't wait for Rook, ACOTAR, Hold Me Like a Breath... and I am really wanting to read City of Savages too! And THE CAGE! I want that one SO badly. And of course, An Ember in the Ashes has been pre ordered ;) GREAT list, I hope you get to a lot of these, and love them!
