A Fun New Tag: I Mustache You Some Questions

Thanks to Lisa at Lisa Loves Literature for tagging me to do this fun post!

Four jobs I've had:

1. Bookseller (but I prefer "Book Ninja")
2. Waittress
3. Donut Maker
4. Video Store manager (when there were still video stores)

Four movies I've watched more than once:

1. Labyrinth
(I've seen it well over 1,000 times)

2. The Princess Bride
(over 1,000 times)

3. Pitch Perfect
(I watch it every time it's on and I can't wait for the sequel!)

4. Goon
(I LOVE this movie!)

Four books I would recommend:

1. Of Metal and Wishes by Sarah Fine

A stunning reimagining of Phantom of the Opera. One of my favorite books of last year. My review is HERE if you want to check it out.

2. The Book of Ivy by Amy Engel

A fantastic book that is character-driven about a post-apocalyptic dystopia. HERE is the review I posted.

3. A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall

A sweet, fun contemporary romance with a unique twist. I loved it and so far everyone I've recommended it to has enjoyed it. HERE is my review.

4. Forest of Whispers by Jennifer Murgia

This is a gorgeous historical fantasy, set in the Black Forest of Bavaria. It's great mystery with romance and witches! For more info, check out my review HERE

Four places I have visited:

1. Italy (Rome/Florence/Pisa/Naples/Milan/Perugia/Venice)

I've been all over Italy more than once.

2. Barcelona, Spain

This is one of the most amazing places I've ever been.

3. Monte Carlo/Monaco

Such a breathtaking place!

4. Malta

No pictures could ever truly show how beautiful Malta is. You have to see it with your own eyes.

Four places I'd rather be right now:

1. Las Vegas - I miss Vegas. I haven't been there in years and that sucks. I used to go often, but after my son was born, Vegas took a back seat.

2. Anywhere warm. It's been below zero for the past two weeks. I could use a thaw.

3. A Pittsburgh Penguins game.

4. Under a blanket with a book and my cat. It's where I always want to be.

Four things I don't eat:

1. Anything that was once alive. I'm a vegetarian, close to being a vegan. I don't wear leather and don't eat anything with gelatin. I do eat cheese and eggs (from cage free, happy chickens in local farms).

2. Strawberries. I'm deathly allergic.

3. Melons. I'm deathly allergic.

4. Mushrooms. Thay are GROSS! They grow in poop!

Four of my favorite foods:

1. Tacos (with veggie crumblers instead of meat).

2. Cheese. It's my weakness.

3. I love Indian food. Mmmm....curry.

4. Black olives. I can eat a can and then drink the juice.

Four tv shows I watch:

1. Face Off

2. Teen Wolf

3. The Big Bang Theory

4. Outlander

Four things I'm looking forward to this year:

1. BEA (BookExpo America - FREE BOOKS!)

2. The release of pretty much every book of 2015.

3. Winter being over. I'm sick of the cold. I don't like Summer very much, but Spring is welcome to come at any time.

4. Halloween. I've been looking forward to Halloween since November 1st of last year. I love Halloween! I miss it. I could live in Halloween Town.

Four things I'm always saying:

1. "You HAVE TO read this book!"

2. "NO, Seth!" (Seth is my son who's almost 4)

3. "NO, Tiger!" (Tiger is my cat who is sometimes very bad)

4. "I need more books." (Everyone needs more books!)

Four people I tag:

1. Michelle @ A Thousand Lives Lived

2. Kitty @ My Little Corner For Books

3. Henna Rinne @ Howling for Books

4. YOU! If you have the time and want to do this, consider yourself tagged!

  1. Michelle, thank you for tagging me! I'm going on vacation tomorrow but I will do this when I come back :) Malta truly is beautiful, I was three weeks there one summer and it was amazing. I'd love to go back there some day :) And Teen Wolf! I love Stiles. I love Derek. I might watch it mainly for them (and Papa Stilinski, he's the best).

  2. So glad you did this! I too watch Pitch Perfect EVERY time it is on. Sometimes right in a row if it is on two different movie channels. I love Teen Wolf, Stiles especially! I've never thought of Malta, but seeing those pictures I know it is some place I do really want to visit now! And I'm jealous you're going to BEA. I so wish I could go, especially since I just saw that the guy who plays Raj on Big Bang Theory is going to be there, and that he has a book he'll be promoting. I may have to bug you to grab one and get a picture with him to show me when you're there! :-)

    1. I didn't hear that Raj was going to be there! Hopefully I get to meet him. Last year Neil Patrick Harris was there and I got awesome pics of him. This was fun! Thanks for tagging me :)

  3. Awesome answers. A donuts maker. How could you ever leave that job?!?!?! I'm super jealous you get to attend BEA it's on my to do list but the hubby can't get leave from work. Maybe next year if it wasn't across the country haha. Joys of California weather. I love Pitch Perfect as does my 5 year old. She's making me take her to the new one when it's in theaters. Have a great day!

    1. I hope you get to go to BEA sometime, it's so much fun. I go every year since I live in PA, just a few hours drive from NY. I even went when it was held in Los Angeles several years ago. I think it's in Chicago in 2016, unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make that trip. I'm not able to travel much since I had my son. Plus, I can't really afford it. ANd yes, making the donuts was fun. Messy but fun...and delicious!

  5. I loved reading your post!!

I have also watched Labyrinth numerous (mainly in high school on cable) as I was a super huge David Bowie fan back then... I still like David Bowie's music, but not as much as I did in high school.

That's so cool you're a book ninja! I use to be an assistant manger at a bookstore and loved it! Reading and recommending books is awesome and so is meeting authors in person.

I also think mushrooms are so gross. I dislike the taste and text of them in my mouth.

Las Vegas is a fun place. I haven't been in years as well. I am not into gambling, but like seeing the shows there and spa treatments.

  6. I haven't been to Spain but I really want to!

AND YES, WHO DOESN'T LOVE LABYRINTH? There is a manga sequel type thing to it that came out a few years back. I couldn't get into but, but I wonder how it ended.
