Stacking the Shelves 1/3/15

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's about sharing what I've added to my shelves for the week.

Well, the holidays are over (thank goodness). Don't get me wrong, they're lots of fun, but it's such a crazy time of year and I honestly haven't had much time for myself at all. I ended up having to take a break from reviewing for the past two weeks. I didn't get more than a few minutes to sit down to write any. I barely got a chance to read much of anything over the holiday season. Things should be back to business as usual next week.

Also, I had a pretty terrible scare last week with my cat, Tiger, who you normally see in my StS posts. He's diabetic and his blood sugar crashed really hard and really fast. He was shaking and couldn't walk and he collapsed. He had too much insulin. I had to keep giving him glucose gel to raise his blood sugar and keep watch over him. I really almost lost him. He made it through and his vet took him off of his insulin for now. The only upside of this is that there's a chance that his diabetes has gone into remission. I find out Monday if he's officially OTJ (off the juice).

Anyway, my haul for the week is a BIG one! I got one present (my laptop) and a stack of book money. Here's what I did with it:

  1. Ruthless looks really good. It's always scary when your pet goes to the hospital. They are your baby essentially. You got some books. Firefight is out, I must get it. I loved Steelheart. Great haul of books this week.

  2. Ooo, lots of awesome! I LOVED Illusive, Erased, Exquisite Captive, Frostfire. Seraphina and Her Dark Curiosity were pretty great - as well as A Cold Legacy. I can't wait to read Ensnared - though I already know I'm probably going to dislike it LOL. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a fabulous weekend :)
