Stacking the Shelves 12/27/14

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's about sharing what I've added to my shelves for the week.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas/holiday. Mine was full of fun, family and food. I'm exhausted though. As much as I love Christmas, I'm kind of glad it's all over, at least because it means that work will go back to normal. Normal hours and less crazy people are good things. I've been so busy with work and family that I haven't gotten much reading or reviewing done. I'm actually very disappointed in myself. I don't think I'm going to reach my Goodreads reading challenge goal. I have to read two and a half books in five days. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but I don't think I'll have the time to do it. I'm going to give it my best effort. There are a few reviews I have to write and post, too. I've been terrible over the past two weeks. I'm just too busy this time of year. After the New Year I'll be back to business as usual with my reading and posting.

There is one BIG thing that will make it SO much easier for me to post my reviews and memes here...

My new LAPTOP!!

If you didn't know, my laptop died back in October and I couldn't afford to get a new one. I was told I had to wait until Christmas. Well, the day finally came and now I no longer have to write my reviews and other posts on my PHONE (which took a really, really long time). Life just got a lot easier.

Hooray!!

I didn't buy much this week, but I did get money for Christmas that I'm definitely going to use on books. Next week's haul will be much bigger. I did get some AMAZING eARCs from Edelweiss this week! I'm really excited about a few of them. I only got one eARC from NetGalley, but it sounds awesome.

Here is my lovely haul...

  2. I downloaded The Replaced this week. I cannot wait to read it, but my review schedule is very tight for the next two months so not sure when I'll get to it. Hoping to get ahead and then I can do whatever I want! Thanks for stopping by The Cover Contessa. Have a Happy New Year!

  5. Yay for the laptop!! I can't imagine having only my phone to write my reviews on. That would drive me nuts.

I haven't picked up any of the EW uploads, but I really want to read The Cage, Tiny Pretty Things, and The Replaced! Enjoy your new books. :)

    1. A complete nightmare is an understatement. It was extremely frustrating. I also had to pass on some things because I can only do so much from my phone. My eyes are also thankful for a larger screen! I can't wait to read Nil, I've heard a lot of great things about it. And...THE CAGE!!! So excited!!!! :)
